Audi out in force at Pan Delta Super Racing Festival Summer Race

Zhuhai, June 14, 2019 – Eight Audi entries will contest two rounds of the Circuit Hero and one round of the Circuit Hero One championships as part of the Pan Delta Super Racing Festival Summer Race at the 4.319km Zhuhai International Circuit from June 15-16.

TSRT’s David Chen got his GTC championship defence off to the perfect start with two class victories in the Circuit Hero opening rounds in March. Heading into round two, Chen tops the Supercar C leaderboard with a seven-point advantage from his closest challenger. Joining Chen at TSRT for the double header is Marco Lee driving a second Audi R8 LMS GTC in the Supercar Challenge category.

Zun Motorsport Crew’s Lin Yiming returns in his Audi R8 LMS GT3. Lin lies third in the Supercar Challenge standings after a class win and podium in the opening races.

In Circuit Hero One, four Audi RS 3 LMS cars will compete. Touring car expert Filipe Souza of Champ X TA Motorsport, vice-champion in 2018, is just three points shy of the top of the Class A leaderboard. Kuang Canwei is entered in a second Audi RS 3 LMS with BoomGEAR Motorsport, while TSRT campaigns a third for Gary Sham and Li Zhao-Hua completes the four. Chen Da-Xing brings the total number of Audi entries competing in Zhuhai this weekend to eight.

The 10-lap Circuit Hero race 3 starts at 13:10 on Saturday June 15 at the Zhuhai International Circuit, with Circuit Hero One qualifying beginning at 14:50. Sunday sees the 15-lap Circuit Hero One race get underway at 10:30, with the second Circuit Hero race starting at 14:20 (all times UTC +8). All races will be live streamed on the Zhuhai International Circuit Facebook page.
